Integrated database generation

A critical components of complex analyses are data analysis and integration, just as the prioritization of candidates for diagnostic. For data management a web-based biomedical research network and centralised data warehouse will be customised according to the specific needs of the partners/customers. In this context, UD-GenoMed Ltd. will provide infrastructure, training and support.

Data collection platform: The structure of database will be customized according to the specific requirements and needs for data collection which will be discussed with the partners, and together we will define the central patient registry, electronic case report forms, user-role-rights and communication management for secured access. The web-based technology will substantially increase research competitiveness by facilitating online information flow, data exchange and the improvement of data quality.

Data warehouse: The data warehouse, - which may be defined as a subject-oriented, integrated, non-volatile and expert-interpreted collection of data, - is the main repository, where all information is stored after processing the project's relevant data sources provided by project partners and/or external available resources. The raw data records are cleaned and enriched with more detailed information.

Data Mining: In the order of define target or market candidates we are going to apply statistical and data mining methods with various classifications and clustering strategies. Candidate statistical predictors and classifiers will be assessed for plausibility in cooperation with the medical and experimental groups.

Data interpretation: The final step focuses on the identification and interpretation of the involved biological processes and molecules. In this context, a variety of tools for multidimensional data evaluation, pathway visualization and modelling of their molecular interactions will be developed by UD-GenoMed and applied.

 

The global result of our projects will be the discovery and validation of biomarkers and targets - according to the specific goals and criteria- , which are detectable in blood and their associated immunoassays ready for further clinical validation.
